This Is What The Laser Cut Vinyl On Styx’s Paradise Theatre Looked Like
In 1981, Styx released Paradise Theatre, their most commercially successful album.
Initial vinyl copies of the album were released with a design featuring the band's name laser etched directly onto the vinyl on side two.

The album cover was a gate-fold style painted by Chris Hopkins. Funnily enough, the back cover, label and spine all have the record's title spelled as "Paradise Theater," but on the front cover, it's spelled "Paradise Theatre."
If you want to get yourself a copy of this vinyl, they're about everywhere - ranging from $9-$29 on eBay. All of the originally released copies of the album had the etching, so they're pretty easy to find.
