Ever since my kids were young we’ve been heading out for camping trips on Father’s Day weekend. It turned out to be one of the best traditions we still keep.

The South Dakota Department of Game Fish and Parks has announced that all previously allowed nesting predator traps must be removed from public land by May 12, 2019.

The one new law for 2019 that was the most talked about was the minimum wage increased to $9.10 per hour. That's great news because for many they can now afford to buy more bait!

Normally February 28 is the deadline to remove fish houses from lakes in South Dakota. It's a sound policy since it is entirely possible to hit the 40's and 50's by March 1. This year that seems a little hasty.
