When Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies were dreaming up big things to do to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2018, they decided to go REALLY big with the help of a South Dakota company.

The Rockies are more than doubling the size of their scoreboard at Coors Field in Denver, and to do that they are enlisting the services of Brookings-based Daktronics.

The final product, which is expected to be completed by opening day, will be a massive scoreboard featuring a mountain cutout, which mimics of the Rockies' logo.

Dakotronics is also celebrating an anniversary in 2018. The company has been in business since 1968.

You can catch some of their latest work when you're watching Super Bowl LII. Daktronics designed the scoreboards inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
