What You Need To Know About Released Offender In Sioux Falls

South Dakota officials are notifying the public about the upcoming release from prison of a convicted sex offender.

Who is being released?

The South Dakota Department of Corrections says Carl Six Toes will be released Wednesday (September 17) in Sioux Falls, after serving the entirety of his sentence for sexual contact with a person incapable of consenting in Minnehaha County.

He will not be on parole supervision.

A Warning

In a press release, Secretary of Corrections Kellie Wasko said:

'Given this offender’s criminal history and an elevated risk of reoffending and violent behavior identified through institutional assessments, law enforcement and the public are being notified of this release.'

Description

Six Toes is Native American, 6-feet-2-inches tall, and weighs approximately 250 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

This notification is in addition to the letters currently sent to law enforcement and notices provided to the Division of Criminal Investigation each month.
