Sioux Falls Gage Brothers Named Precaster for Kinnick Stadium Renovations
Gage Brothers will have another big project on their hands as they have been awarded the precast contract for Iowa's Kinnick Stadium renovations.
The University of Iowa is in the process of a major renovation to the 88-year old Kinnick Stadium for the second time since 2004. This time the University will be adding to the north side of the end zone. The entire project is expected to cost about $89 million.
This is very good news for a local company in Sioux Falls. Gage Brothers has announced that they have been awarded the precast contract. They have previously worked on venues such as the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, Target Center, and Target Field to name a few.
All the products will be produced in Sioux Falls at their location near Interstate 29 and 12th Street, according to the release. It will be a busy stretch that will take about 70 days to complete.
"The design plans call for 45,000 square-feet of precast stair tread and risers, along with 13,000 square-feet of precast tubs and close to 200 architectural panels." - Gage Brothers
Renovations are expected to be completed for Kinnick Stadium by the beginning of the 2019 football season.
