Selfie Craze Results in Botox Boom
A recent tech trend is sending millennials rushing to the doctor. The selfie craze has triggered a 41% bump in Botox use among millennials since 2011.
That according to recent stats from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. People as young as 18 are now braving the needle to look glamorous in their pictures.
But doctors say younger people are getting Botox for a different reason. They're trying to prevent wrinkles caused by blistering work schedules. Experts say they also want to reduce the need for major cosmetic work down the road.
