Here's the latest from the National Weather Service here in Sioux Falls on the impending storm as of 8:00 am Sunday morning.

I-90 is closed from Sioux Fallz to Wall. I-29 is closed from Sioux Falls to the North Dakota border.

Estimates have Sioux Falls receiving about four inches of snow. Much lesser amounts to the southeast of the city where the storm should bring mainly rain.

Sioux Falls is now included in the Blizzard Warning area largely because of the wind expected to come with the storm. Snow is expected to start in Sioux Falls mid-afternoon Sunday and end by Sunday night or early Monday. However, winds are also expected to increase to 30-45 miles an hour, causing a lot of blowing and drifting snow.

Snowfall totals around the state Sunday morning already include 7 inches in Aberdeen, 5+ in Winner, 4+ in Mitchell, 6 inches around Brookings and just a trace in Sioux Falls.

We'll keep an eye on the weather all weekend and give you the latest on closings and delays Monday morning, here on the website, on our Facebook page, and of course on the air. Stay safe this weekend!
