Off-Ramp Closure Scheduled for Interstate 90 in South Dakota
Navigating the interstates in South Dakota is always tricky this time of the year as ongoing construction projects create new challenges to drivers seemingly every week.
The latest will be along I-90 in Brandon.
Beginning Monday (May 5), the westbound off-ramp at the Brandon exit (406) will be closed as part of the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) construction project.
Motorists traveling westbound on I-90 to Brandon should use Exit 410 and follow the detour south to County Road 138 and then west into Brandon.
The closure and detour will be in place until late June.

The second phase of $41.3 million project includes completing the remaining on- and off-ramps, the eastbound lanes of I-90, the Exit Bridge, and the replacement of the eastbound I-90 bridge over the BNSF railroad.
The overall project is expected to be completed by June 2026.
