Not Everything Is Equal When It Comes to Exercise
Not all sports are created equal when it comes to keeping you healthy. That according to just-released study detailed in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
According to a study involving 80-thousand subjects, researchers found racquet sports are the best when it comes lowing your risk of death.
When looking specifically at heart disease and stroke, racquet sports came in #1 in that area as well - lowering your risk of dying by as much as 47%.
Swimming and aerobic exercise reduce your risk by 28% and 27% respectively; cycling by 15%.
The most surprising part of the study involved running - you might just be wasting your time. According to the study, runners and joggers saw no benefit at all.
