Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys is getting into the movie business.

He started writing a screenplay called Dead West about five years. However, within the last couple years he has really started pounding the pavement trying to make it happen.

He has since revised the script from a zombie western to something different. He said, " It was first called Dead West but was told that could be too limiting, wanted to make it more modern and apocalyptic than an old western." The new title is Dead 7.

As for the casting? That's where things get interesting. Carter said, ""I wanted my friends in the film with me. What is more fun than riding horses and being zombies shooting things? Even as a kid I loved horror films, this was always something I wanted to do."

And which friends have signed on so far? Joey Fatone (from NSync) and A.J. McLean, his fellow Backstreet Boy. NSync members and Backstreet members fighting zombies? I would pay to see that.

But the movie is slated to be on SyFy so I guess I won't have to pay to see it. It is being produced by the same people behind Sharknado, so I guess we should expect the same campy, cheesy nonsense.

Nick Carter has also gotten on Twitter to reach out to some other celebs to be in his movie such as Mel B, Hilary Duff, and Sisqo. He even tweeted Sir Paul McCartney. That one might be a bit of a stretch.

Nick explained his twitter quest for the cast, "I get into these moods and just feel like asking. You never know until you ask."

Can't argue with that. Paul might make a cameo, ya never know!
