My Morning at Dairy Queen for Miracle Treat Day
One of the fun parts of my job are events like Miracle Treat Day! It is one day we get out of the studio and get to hang out with our listeners and miracle kids and have ice cream for breakfast.
Miracle Treat Day, for those of you who aren't in the know, is the one day a year that Dairy Queen takes at least one dollar from every Blizzard purchase and donates it to Children's Miracle Network. That is at least one dollar, sometimes more! I mean, you don't really need a reason to get a blizzard, but that is a pretty good one. Ice cream for the kids.
So, every year we do our show from Dairy Queen at 57th and Western and somehow we are usually blessed with good weather and great company.
Today at the 57th and Western Dairy Queen there is a bouncy house, face painting from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and balloon art from 2:00 PM until close.
Speaking of the bouncy house, I decided to give it a whirl with miracle kids, Jaxon and and Jeren, and I almost didn't survive.
