Metallica has made available a free download of guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett's performance of the National Anthem last month at a San Francisco Giants home game. The rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" was part of "Metallica Night" at AT&T Park, which also featured drummer Lars Ulrich throwing out the first pitch and other activities showcasing the Bay Area-based quartet.

Video footage of the performance is online, but the band has now officially made it into a download available for free at LiveMetallica.com.

This is the first time ever the members of Metallica have performed the National Anthem live. Over 41,000 people caught the performance, while also watching the Giants win over the rival Los Angeles Dodgers.

Metallica will host and headline the band's second annual Orion Music + More festival this coming weekend (Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th) on Belle Isle in Detroit.
