Several months ago, I told you about a new outlet starting up here in Sioux Falls for local and regional musicians called The White Wall Sessions. It's an intimate setting and is giving these musicians an additional way to let people know a little more about them and their music.

As a supporter of local musicians and venues, I was immediately impressed by their operation and commitment. All types of music and musicians have been welcomed to the White Wall and starting Saturday (September 7) the White Wall Sessions are getting a larger audience as KELO-TV will begin airing half hour shows at 10:30pm following the news!

From what I've heard, each episode will feature several performers, rather than one session with a particular artist. Latitude 44 at 8th & Weber in Sioux Falls is throwing a White Wall Session debut party starting at 8pm with music starting at 9 from two bands that have filmed on the White Wall: Tinder Box and Condor. It's a 21+ show with no cover charge. They will also have two big screen TV's set up to watch the debut episode.

Here's to a successful first season and I know I'll be watching for more from the White Wall Sessions to learn even more about all the talented musicians in our area and some of them that stop in on a national tour. Congratulations!

Here's Jami Lynn doing "The North Wind"

The White Wall Sessions hosted Hadden Sayers Band when they were in town this summer. Here they are doing "Something Wrong in the World"

And they also hosted the Chris Duarte Group. Here's "Leave My Soul Alone", a song they admit is too long to make the half hour TV show but was too good to not be seen!
