In the wintertime, it's easy for us Minnesotans to get cooped up and not do much. It's too cold so we don't want to go anywhere, or there's too much snow. But even when it's cold out it's still good to get outside.

Now I sound like I'm your mom... but seriously! Plus, this winter there are some state parks all across Minnesota that are hosting an opportunity for us to experience the woods by candlelight.

Getting Outdoors in the Winter

I know it's hard to force yourself to go outside in the winter, but it feels awesome once you're out there moving and taking in nature.

I'm definitely one of those people who can get stuck in a rut in the winter and just want to stay in my house. But with an event like this that can only be experienced in the wintertime, you can't pass it up.

If you're someone who can also get into a rut of not doing much in the winter, then put one of these on your calendar. Even better, invite friends or family to come with you!
