The vehicle-house collision occurred in the 10,000 block of County Rd. 1 Southeast, which is about seven miles east of Stewartville.
The driver, described as a 32-year-old woman from Spring Valley, told deputies she missed a curve, went off the road and collided with the home.
She reported being distracted by her cellphone before missing the curve, the sheriff’s office report says.
Hanson said the driver and one of the adults inside of the home suffered minor injuries. Deputies cited the Spring Valley woman for using a wireless device (cellphone) while driving, and careless driving.
Impairment is not suspected to have been a factor in the vehicle-house crash, Hanson says.
The extent of damage to the house is unknown. The driver’s name is not being released.
