Feel The Community Spirit At This Year’s Montrose Music Festival
Summertime is certainly music festival time, and this weekend in Montrose, the outdoor music festival tradition continues at the Montrose City Campground on the Vermillion River.
This annual event in Montrose brings together acoustic musical artists from across the state of South Dakota and the country for three days of music and family entertainment.

Dakota News Now is reporting that the Montrose Music Festival is coming up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 25 through 27, and will be hosting 50 acts.
There will also be adult classes in songwriting, tuning, playing the harmonica, writing a book, guitar workshops, dance classes, and more.

There are plenty of kids' activities too! From a kazoo parade, to rock painting, a watercolor workshop, bubbles, and hula hoops, just to mention a few.
The community music festival features everything from folk and country music to poetry, and everyone is encouraged to participate.
There will be spontaneous performances throughout the campground and city of Montrose throughout this 3-day acoustic music festival.
The mission of this event is to bring attention back to the small towns in our state and lift them up. To create a true spirit of community and not just focus on oneself, but focus on togetherness, is also part of what this festival is all about.
