Why Is Sioux Falls Police Puppy Leo Learning How to Drive?
In recent years, the City of Sioux Falls has been welcoming new faces to its law enforcement. Residents have become familiar with the friendly firefighters and officers in Sioux Falls, especially one adorable member of the Sioux Falls Police Department.
The officer that is stealing everyone's heart is the new therapy dog named Leo. The golden retriever puppy is winning the city over with cuddles and playful tricks. In fact, the Sioux Falls Police Department might have taught him a new trick that Sioux Empire drivers should be aware of.
Officer Leo was seen taking the driver's seat in one of the police cars! The officers even let Leo post about his adventures on the department's social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter.
Apparently, Leo is a big fan of using the police siren.
I was able to get my little paws on the driver’s seat of a patrol car. Dis siren is mine!!! I can feel the wind in my fur already. #LeoOne
So will Sioux Falls drivers see this wild little puppy driving on the roads? Probably not driving. But Leo will for sure be visiting new places and events in Sioux Falls.
Leo was brought in to be the newest member of the Sioux Falls Police Department to help the community. As a therapy dog, Leo's job will be to help people feel more at ease when interacting with police and provide comfort during difficult times. Leo will also provide some stress relief to his fellow officers. Working in law enforcement is a tough job. Leo will be the one to rescue Sioux Falls Police Department officers from bad days.
Officer Leo has been learning a lot of new skills during his puppy training school. We can't wait to see what cute tricks Leo will do next!
