South Dakota Students Bring 'Buddy The Elf' To Life!

As Christmas Break approaches college campuses across the Sioux Empire, students are cramming for exams until next year. But before students could celebrate Santa Claus coming to town, a little holiday surprise came to the Yotes at the University of South Dakota.

Some of Santa's helpers paid a visit to Vermillion and USD President Sheila Gestring to help with some last-minute "important" end-of-semester business things! They traveled all day and night just to be with President Gestring and all the Yotes.

The elves were sent by Papa Elf to help President Gestring with whatever she needed. They even sang her a little song...I wonder where they learned how to sing this little number.

"We're here....with President Gestring....at USD....and we never met! But we're here now with President Gestring and with lots of holiday cheer until the New Year!"

A fantastic holiday video posted on Facebook documented the exciting day the elves had with President Grestring and the Yotes at the University of South Dakota.

The elves had a full day with President Shelia Gestring. They tested out some fun toys, made sure the water cooler was at the perfect temperature, ate too much sugar, and even made President Shelia Gestring a salad for lunch topped with maple syrup and chocolate candy!

Needless to say, the elves had an exciting day with the Yotes at the University of South Dakota just in time for the holiday break!

Nothing like some good old holiday cheer to brighten up Yotes' spirits after a tough loss against the NDSU Bison during the FCS Quarterfinal match-up at the Dakota Dome.
