Going to the zoo is always exciting for families. You have the opportunity to experience animals you would not typically see in your own backyard or neighborhood.

The Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History in Sioux Falls always boasts about the exotic animals to visit. In fact, the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History staff is about to welcome two new members to its zoo family.

Two Humboldt penguin couples have laid eggs and zoo staff at the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History are patiently waiting for them to hatch. One egg is already cracked where you can see an eye taking a little peek! This would officially be the first baby of 2023.

Spring is in the air for these lovebirds! The Humboldt penguin couples are Maya and El Nino and Pippa and Quince. The zoo staff at the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History are closely monitoring the eggs until they hatch. In a video posted on its Facebook page, the zoo staff explains:

"One of our two eggs is in the process of hatching. This can take quite a while, often more than 24 hours. These first days during and after hatching will be critical, but our Animal Care team is monitoring the situation very closely."

Looks like the new Humboldt penguins are in good hands! We can't wait to see the new babies enjoying their Sioux Falls home.

13 Times Sioux Falls Made it into a 'Jeopardy!' Question

If the world was divided into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune people, I would be down for Jeopardy! all the way. It's a lot more fun, it makes me feel smart because I can retain lots of trivia, and I am a horrible speller. So Wheel is out, no whammies.

Recently I discovered (I mean wasted a lot of time on) a website that is an archive of clues that have been on Jeopardy!.

While digging around the archive, I wanted to find out how often Sioux Falls came up in a question (Answer) on the show. Since 1990 Sioux Falls has been part of a question or an answer 13 times.
