
Endangered Missing South Dakota Woman Elizabeth Big Crow Found
It's always a scary situation when a family is missing a loved one. Thankfully, a South Dakota family is reunited.
Elizabeth "Jackie" Big Crow is a 69-year-old woman from Pine Ridge, South Dakota. She was "recovered safely" after authorities located her on Monday night, July 7th.

Since she is a stroke patient who requires constant medical attention, Elizabeth "Jackie" Big Crow was considered to be an Endangered Missing Person. She was removed from her current care in Pine Ridge on Sunday, July 6th.
So, who removed Elizabeth "Jackie" Big Crow? Her son William Big Crow.
Officials with the South Dakota Missing Persons gave a detailed press release of the events leading to Elizabeth "Jackie" Big Crow's disappearance.
Elizabeth “Jackie” Big Crow is a stroke patient who requires constant medical care. Elizabeth was removed from care in Pine Ridge on July 6 th , 2025, by her son, William Big Crow, without the knowledge of other family members. None of her necessary required medication or equipment was taken with her. It was claimed that Elizabeth was being transported to a medical appointment in Sioux Falls, SD. It was later determined that no such
appointment was scheduled. Elizabeth is believed to be endangered due to her complex medical needs.

Around 9 PM, Local authorities confirmed that Elizabeth "Jackie" Big Crow was "recovered safely" on Monday night, July 7th.
