‘Lucky’ South Dakota Pup Finds Sioux Falls Home After 176 Days
A South Dakota dog finally got "lucky" after waiting over 100 days for a second chance at life.
After spending 176 days watching and waiting, Lucky from the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society finally found his "fur-ever" family. Hooray!

Lucky was the longest resident at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. He was a favorite among the staff, and they're thrilled to "celebrate the best kind of luck."
Lucky was with the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society for almost six months, hoping someone would finally choose him. Buf staff say in an emotional Facebook post that this wait was worth it.
For Lucky, this isn't just about finding his family; it's about giving him a whole new meaning in life.
Lucky isn’t just going home, he’s stepping into his life’s purpose.
If you know Lucky, he LOVES other dogs. He will now be helping other dogs learn how to make new friends through proper introductions. And he is so good at it.
The right Sioux Empire home came at the right time for Lucky. The community couldn't be happier for this loveable furry friend.
So happy for Lucky and his adoptor! Thank you for seeing in him what we did and helping him find his purpose with you! We love you Lucky!
He is one Lucky dog. Congratulations
