A local South Dakota food truck is about to open a new taco spot in a growing town just south of Sioux Falls.

The Big Orange Food Truck has served the Sioux Empire delicious, local meals to hungry patrons. Owner Dean Marshall wanted to take the next step and open a new restaurant in Worthing.

The Taco Vault in Worthing is close to welcoming loyal and new patrons inside this new eatery very soon. However, there have been some speed bumps along the way.

Dean Marshall and his partner Austin gave an update on The Taco Vault in a Facebook post in June. Some issues are out of their control. But they still plan to open as soon as possible!

Things have not been going smoothly for a variety of reasons; the rain last week being a major one. With no planned opening date, we've decided to get the truck up and running. It's parked at The Taco Vault location (108 S Main St. Worthing) and right now we plan on being open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Hours might change based on business and weather.

There is a lot of excitement in the air for The Taco Vault all thanks to the tasty food from the Big Orange Food Truck!

My husband and I made a trip to Worthing to check in on the status of The Taco Vault and try the Big Orange Food Truck. The food was so good! You won't leave hungry once you eat in Worthing.

After a gym workout, we were in the mood for something greasy and filling. I tried the Loaded Fries. It had smoked pork, pickled onions, cheese, and verde sauce. This was a hearty meal, but so worth every bite!

My husband enjoyed some chislic and the famous garlic cheese curds from Big Orange Food Truck. Dean recommended the cheese curds and we're sure glad he did! We told Dean to keep these on the menu at The Taco Vault.

The Taco Vault will be open before ya know it! Patience is key.

Congratulations to Dean, Austin, and everyone with The Taco Vault!
