Our friends at WalletHub just released a new survey that shows the "Best and Worst States for Summer Road Trips." Based on WalletHub's results, there is one Midwestern state that made the top ten list. Before you say South Dakota...it's not our state. In fact, South Dakota was not even identified as one of the ten best summer road trip states.

WalletHub's data "from the number of attractions to road conditions to costs." This summer alone 80% of American adults plan to take a summer road trip this year. Clearly, people are very eager to travel!

The best states for summer road trips throughout the United States include:

Some of the worst states for summer road trips include Montana, Hawaii, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island.

So where do South Dakota and Iowa land on the "Best and Worst States for Summer Road Trips" list from WalletHub? They are somewhere in the middle. Iowa is 21st while South Dakota is 23rd on the Best and Worst States for Summer Road Trips. The state of Iowa is known to have some of the lowest cost in car repairs in the country.
