Wisconsin's Charlie Berens has debuted his brand of Old Fashioned Brandy and it's for sale now across the United States. (Except Texas or Tennessee, apparently.)

I'm not a brandy drinker, but I can appreciate Wisconsin's love for Brandy Old Fashioneds. I saw the bottle at the counter at my local liquor store (shoutout to Belknap Liquor & Lounge in Superior). I chuckled when I saw it, and the owner told me to check out the label.

In true Charlie Beren's humor style, the label pays a nice tribute to his Grandpa Bob. He passed away a few years ago, but he was featured in some of Charlie's videos. You could tell that Charlie and his Grandpa Bob were close. It reminds me of me and my grandpa. Here's a video of them fishing together in 'Da Green Bay' in 2018.

The label on the side of the 90-proof liquor bottle says it all, and it will make you smile.

Here's what it reads:

Naming a brandy after yourself is egotistical. That's why I named Berens Old Fashioned Brandy after my Grandpa Bob. I can't help it we got the same last name.

Grandpa Bob is the most Wisconsin guy I ever met and this is the most Wisconsin Brandy we could make. Berens Old Fashioned Brandy is made from the best grapes in the US. And just like me and Grandpa, it's aged in Wisconin. Pairs well with cheese, fishing, weddings, funerals, deer camp, and of course, old fashioneds. Before you sip, cheers it to the sky, Grandpa Bob's up there in heaven cheersing back...and waiting for his cut. Make Grandpa proud, make it a Berens.

Its price point is 29.99 for a liter bottle online. I found it for 23.99 at the Belknap. It's stronger than a lot of other brandy that is only 80 proof, so drink responsibly.
