Researchers found too much reality TV can have a real impact on the viewer's mindset.
People who frequently watch reality shows - like Jersey Shore, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, or the Real Housewives of Atlanta - get desensitized to all the back biting and bickering that the characters do in order to get ratings.
"We as a society have hit rock bottom."
The findings showed that over time, people actually begin to see all the drama and extramarital affairs as being an everyday occurrence and a "normal part of life."
