I was shopping here in Sioux Falls when I came across a whole isle of nothing but Oreos.  I had no idea there were so many different flavors!

Nobody seems to know why one of the world's favorite cookies is named 'Oreo'.  It may be from the Greek word 'Oreo', meaning beautiful, nice or well done.

The Oreo was first produced in 1912 by Nabisco, then called the National Biscuit Company. It was developed to imitation the 'Hydrox Cookie' manufactured by Sunshine company back in 1908.

Who doesn't love a good Oreo cookie?  But did you know there are over 50 flavors of Oreos?
