The legendary Head East began in Illinois in 1969 and were a staple in several midwestern tape cases as we booze-cruised the country roads. Their high-energy songs and shows are filled with superb vocals, flashy guitar work and memorable keyboard melodies that continue to rock audiences of all ages.
Then came the huge signature hit, 'Never Been Any Reason' and everybody was singing "Save my life I'm going down for the last time!" It was a national rock anthem in the 70s and still lives on great classic rock radio to this day.
They have always been one of the friendliest, most approachable, professional bands in rock and roll who are willing to make themselves available at all times for interviews and "meet and greets."
Though musicians have changed throughout the years, their sound remains true. Today, Head East consists of Roger Boyd (keyboards & vocals), Greg Manahan (bass, lead guitar & vocals), Mark Murtha (lead guitar & vocals), Eddy Jones (drums & vocals), and Darren Walker (lead vocals & bass).
