Well Known Band Tabbed for Halftime of Vikings – Packers Game
For a lot of bands, working New Year's Eve is a given.
Ringing in the New Year at the stroke of midnight in some crowded venue on December 31st is a regular gig for musicians around the world, and usually is one of the most coveted appearances of the year.
But one local band's New Year's Eve assignment this year will have them off the stage well before 2024 kicks in, although the venue is about as big as it gets.
Minneapolis-based Hairball has been picked as the halftime entertainment for the Minnesota Vikings - Green Bay Packers game, December 31st at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Now in its 23rd year, Hairball is a self-described '20 rock concerts one night'.
Hairball doesn't just play the music of legendary acts like Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith, they also go the extra mile by looking the part as well.
The game is scheduled for a prime-time kickoff on New Year's Eve with a 7:20 PM start.
It's not known whether Hairball will make it onto NBC's coverage of the game, but the band will get to rock out in front of nearly 67,000 people inside the stadium.
