Free Beer In Scotland On Friday Aug 7. That’s Right, Free Beer!

This is not a typo! You can receive a free 12 oz Miller Lite on Friday, August 7, if you are in or travel to Scotland South Dakota.

This is Miller Lite's way of celebrating International Beer Day. Maybe every day should be International Beer Day if it meant free beer!

Just look for the Miller Lite beer truck at the corner of Second and Main Street from Noon to 1 pm on Friday (8-7). Only those 21 and over will get a free beer so make sure you bring your ID.

According to a press release from Miller Lite, the company is celebrating International Beer Day "in 80+ cities named after countries" and people in those cities "can get beer on us."  In most cities where this promotion is running, a purchase of a 6 pack is required to get a free beer, however, that is not the case in Scotland.

The press release says, "Lucky Miller Lite fans in Scotland, SD will get an extra special delivery of Miller Lite on Friday, August 7^th. The brand will be bringing a Miller Lite semi-truck to hand-deliver 12 oz. cans of Miller Lite to legal-age fans looking to enjoy some Miller Time on this prestigious holiday."
