Whether you know it or not, we're on the doorstep of one of the highlights on the calendar each and every year.

Sunday (April 7) is National Beer Day.

It's celebrated on that day in celebration of the Cullen–Harrison Act, which was passed April 7, 1933. It didn't end prohibition in the United States, but it did allow the manufacturing and sale of low-alcohol beer and wines (up to 3.2 percent alcohol by volume) nine months before the repeal of prohibition, December 5, 1933.

If you're looking for some outside-the-box brews to celebrate with this year, might I suggest a few?

If your current suds of choice aren't bringing you the same level of excitement anymore don't you dare switch to one of those trendy seltzers. It might be time to ditch your boring beer for something new and fun.

On a recent trip to Williquors in Sioux Falls I found this batch of cold ones that will help you up your beer game.
