Local artist Mike Dowling spent most of Friday creating Superman on the plaza near 12th & Phillips Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls for the Chalk Walk, part of First Friday.

The chalk works are still there for viewing today as areas around the Washington Pavilion fill up for the Sidewalk Arts Festival (going on today (9/8) until 5pm. Keep in mind that several streets in the areas of 10th-12th and Main to Dakota are closed today for the events!

German Fest runs from 1-10pm in Falls Park West (the greenspace at Phillips to the Falls) and will feature lots of music, food and probably beer!

Jukebox Zeroes will also host their CD Release Party downtown tonight at 7:30 at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets will be available at the box office.

The weather is going to cooperate, head downtown and experience everything today!
