Spring cleanup is in full swing, and if you find yourself with a box (or boxes) full of sensitive documents, don't just throw them in the trash - shred them!

Why is that so important? Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. and a lot of that information is retrieved from the trash.

Make sure your crucial information doesn't fall into the wrong hands by bringing those papers to the Crime Stoppers Annual Shredding event, Saturday, April 26th.

Bring your tax documents, bank records, and billing statements (or any other private documents) to one of the three locations from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

A minimum donation of $5 per box is requested. Proceeds go to the Crime Stoppers tip reward program.

Documents shredding takes place at:

  • Minnwest Bank parking lot - 57th Street and Louise Avenue, Sioux Falls:
  • The parking ramp just east of Washington Pavilion, Downtown Sioux Falls:
  • Shopko parking lot, 10th Street and Sycamore Avenue, Sioux Falls:
