Company With South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota Locations Adding More

A Midwest-based company that has built its base of operations with stores throughout South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota over nearly four decades has some lofty plans in place for the next few years.

St. Paul's Dunn Brothers Coffee has announced plans to add an additional 250 locations in the next five years. That's five times the number of current coffee shops the company currently operates.

A complete list of new locations hasn't been released, but the Dunn Brothers says the expansion will include approximately five stores in Minnesota and South Dakota by the end of this year.

In a press release, company president Scott Harvey said:

'For many communities, access to quality coffee has been limited, or even nonexistent, but we see an opportunity to change that.'

Of Dunn Brothers' current list of 47 locations, 37 are in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota:

Dunn Brothers also has ten locations in Missouri (1), North Dakota (4), Texas (1), and Wisconsin (4). They are also expanding their presence in grocery stores to sell coffee beans and single-cup offerings for coffee makers.

The company was founded in St. Paul by brothers Ed and Dan Dunn in December of 1987.
