In retrospect, we know very little about Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' sequel, 'Batman vs. Superman' (even the title remains unofficial until the studio breaks its silence). However, it looks like big announcements could be coming soon during a certain 'Man of Steel' fan event.

This Saturday, Kevin Smith will host a 'Man of Steel' live fan event, in which "cast and crew talk all the things 'Man of Steel,' discuss what the future holds for the Last Son of Krypton, and answer live fan questions." However, during a recent chat about the event with the Hollywood Babble-On podcast (via Coming Soon), Smith teased that more goodies in the form of 'Batman vs. Superman' announcements and possibly even artwork are on the way, as well.

They're doing a special on Yahoo that I'm hosting, Zack Snyder is the featured guest, but it's all about Man of Steel. So it's me, Zack Snyder, Amy Adams, Henry Cavill is on video from London or he may even be on set with us, and then there's some Michael Shannon stuff. So it's an hour long, it's free, it's on the internet, but it's just kind of to be like 'Hey, Man of Steel is coming out!' But there's two things, there might be announcements during this show and the one thing I do know is there's artwork going to be on this show that may or may not have something to do with a movie that's coming up.

So far, we know that 'Batman vs. Superman' will include these two iconic DC Comics heroes in a film inspired by the Frank Miller comic, which saw them duking it out. Aside from Cavill returning as the Man of Steel and Ben Affleck as the latest actor to tackle The Dark Knight on film, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will all reprise their roles from 'Man of Steel' as Lois Lane, Perry White and Mrs. Kent, respectively. Plus, we've already seen video footage of a football game scene between Metropolis and Gotham.

So, what new information could we be getting come Saturday? The latest rumors are that Warner Bros. is looking to cast someone in the role of Nightwing/Robin, Batman's Boy Wonder sidekick, while some report the studio has already chosen who will be playing villain Lex Luthor. The 'Man of Steel' fan event kicks off on November 9 at noon EST, and we'll be sure to keep our eyes and ears peeled for any potential announcements.

Meanwhile, you can pick up the 'Man of Steel' DVD and Blu-ray starting November 12, and 'Batman vs. Superman' is slated to hit theaters July 17, 2015.
