30 Trillion Times All the Money on Earth – per Day!!!
With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming out later this month, a British energy company has estimated what it would take to run the Empire’s Death Star that plays a central role in the film.
Long story short - A LOT!!!
According to OVO Energy, it would cost, "30 trillion times all the money on earth" to run the Death Star for a single day!
For example, just to start up he moon-sized space station’s giant, planet-smashing laser it would run you more than $5.3-billion.
Add in the station's light speed engines, light bulb usage and the like, and the whole kit and caboodle would cost $7.8 octillion per day to run.
Just so you know, octillion (when used as a British measurement) is a one followed by 48 zeros!
Rogue One, which stars Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, and Donnie Yen, opens December 16.
