From 1974-1982, The Red Willow Band was one of the most popular bands in the state of South Dakota and around the region bringing their brand of 'country swing' to fans everywhere.

Two albums and several singles were recorded and released, with one single "I Wish I Had Your Arms Around Me" reaching #97 on the Billboard Hot Country 100 charts. The band made numerous TV specials for South Dakota Public Television, hosted the successful NEMO series of outdoor festivals, and toured nonstop in the upper U.S. from Washington State to New York City.

Red Willow Band core members were Chris Gage, Hank Harris, Kenny Putnam, Marley Forman and Barry Carpenter. This weekend at the 35th Annual Sioux River Folk Fest in Newton Hills State Park, the Red Willow Band rides again for three sets highlighting this great event.

Also on the bill are two bands you know from The White Wall Sessions: Union Grove Pickers and Condor!

Tickets are $35 for the entire weekend, $20 for a Friday night ticket, $25 for all day Saturday and $5 for all day Sunday. Tickets will be available at the gate.
