It's opening night of JazzFest 2014 in Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls! Gates open at 5pm and music will start at 6pm on two stages.

Crash will be live in the park starting at 2pm next to the main stage. His guests this afternoon are Hometown Glow at 4pm and Kelly Richey (pictured above) at 5pm.

As always, JazzFest is an unticketed event, and free to the public. However there is a $10 parking fee per vehicle inside the park. You can walk in or bike in on the bike trails with no admission or parking fee.

The Brandon Sprague Blues Band will kick off the main stage at 6pm. Sprague calls the Black Hills home and this will be their second main stage appearance.

The Kelly Richey Band features one of the very best female guitar players I've ever seen in Richey as she attacks her guitar while backed by a fantastic, funky rhythm section of Freekbass on bass and Big Bam on drums. The Kelly Richey Band will play the main stage at 7:30pm.

If you're a fan of the Bob & Tom Show, you've heard Here Come The Mummies! An 11-piece funk band with what we call "PG-13" lyrics, but a groove so deep you can't help but dance! They will headline the main stage starting at 9:30pm.

On the second stage, a band that played the inaugural Downtown Riverfest last summer, Hometown Glow, will get the party started at 6:30pm

And a band you've seen around town and heard on The White Wall Sessions, The Union Grove Pickers, will hit the stage at 8pm!

We will have dozens of vendors, a kids area and lots of great music and people watching. Leave your coolers at home as no outside food or beverages are allowed. Please leave your pets at home as well.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, some cash and an ID if you plan on having an adult beverage and get ready for the first of THREE incredible days at the 23rd annual JazzFest, presented by Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society, Midcontinent Communications and your JazzFest radio station, B102.7!
