Metallica fans in the Sioux Falls area last drove to the new US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to see their hard rock heroes perform. The loudness of the show was reported to rattle dishes in the cupboards at nearby neighbors houses.

Nice! Isn't it time for another roadtrip? You got it.

Metallica has announced they are adding to their summer tour with a stop in Newton, Iowa (nestled somewhere between Des Moines and Cedar Rapids) on Friday, June 9.

Newton is home to the Iowa Speedway, a stop on the NASCAR circuit - and Hetfield, Ulrich, Hammett, and Trujillo will probably give the roar of the horsepower on raceday a run for it's money.

The concert has a charitable side as well. Portions of the money raised will benefit the The Native Fund, which was founded by actor Ashton Kutcher and NFL star Dallas Clark - both of whom are Iowa natives.

Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat will once again join Metallica on this concert.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 21 at Ticketmaster.
