Food and Wine has published the results of a CouponBirds.com study that looked at 50 popular hashtags and posts regarding Costco products across social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Reddit. to determine which Costco items are the most beloved in each state.

Not surprisingly, South Dakota went for meat ahead of all else.

The Kirkland Italian Style Beef meatballs are the top choice in the Mount Rushmore State.

Folks in Idaho also had the meatballs as their top selection.

In Iowa, you're satisfying your sweet tooth with Sanders Small Batch Wonders Sea Salt Caramels.

These little pieces of heaven combine with the sweetness of milk chocolate with just the right amount of saltiness.

Iowa was the only state with the caramels as the top pick.

It's not food in Minnesota, but comfort that rules the day.

The Sutton Place Cooling Throw is the top choice there. It's 5.8 feet by 5 feet with Mica technology that is cool to the touch. The other side is solid cotton which provides breathability and warmth.

Neighboring Wisconsin also opted for the cooling throw as their go-to item.

The most popular item nationwide is the Goodles Cheddy Mac White Cheddar Shells, which topped the shipping lists in Georgia, Mississippi, New York, and Ohio.
