A high speed chase from Brandon to Valley Springs and the Minnesota border took place Monday night March 2, 2015 and a Valley Springs man is in jail accused of driving under the influence.

Trevor Quincey, 27, was arrested after eluding police for about 25 minutes just outside of Brandon. Tea Storm Chasers reports that the suspect went through a field while being chased by police, throwing things out the window.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Brandon Police Department in attempting to stop a vehicle driven by Quincey.

After refusing to stop, police eventually had to use spike strips which disabled two of his tires near Aspen and 485th avenue, just past Bethany Meadows between Brandon and Valley Springs. The suspect gave up and was taken into custody. Witnesses report a Sherriff’s vehicle also being loaded on a flatbed trailer, indicating there may have been damage to the vehicle.

Quincey was arrested for his 3rd offense DUI, eluding law enforcement, possession of marijuana less than 2oz., possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
