15 Years Ago: Ron Wood Saved From Boat Fire

On April 8, 1998, Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood was rescued by paparazzi from a yacht fire. Seems the legendary guitarist was out on a boat trip near Brazil, as another boat of paparazzi was on the chase behind to try and score some candid photos. As the otherwise mellow excursion proceeded, Wood's boat suddenly burst into flames.

35 Years Ago: Todd Rundgren Releases ‘The Hermit Of Mink Hollow’

Todd Rundgren could do it all, and often did. Many a Todd record featured his lone self on all instruments and vocals. His 1972 masterpiece 'Something/Anything' was mostly created that way, as was his 1978 piece de resistance known as 'The Hermit Of Mink Hollow.'

Led Zeppelin ‘Houses of the Holy’ Reel-to-Reel Sells for Big Bucks on eBay

Titles released on reel-to-reel have long been a prize of sorts for collectors -- especially since even in their heyday, they never sold all that well. The format was first introduced in 1949, and had pretty much died out by the early '70s. There were, however, a few random titles still being manufactured at the time, including the fifth Led Zeppelin album, 'Houses of the Holy' -- a copy of which recently sold in an eBay auction for $239.50, with a total of 46 bids coming in.
