Rush have commented on their first nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They've been eligible for consideration for more than a dozen years before finally getting the nod this week.

Rush drummer Neil Peart says when he takes up something, be it drumming, writing, bike riding or motorcycles, he becomes obsessed with it. Profiled in Sabian cymbal maker's Obsessed series of drummer videos, Peart says, "I am naturally obsessive, hopefully on a less than psychological disturbing way... Enthusiastic is a word I much prefer."

Rush drummer Neil Peart's Taking Center Stage: A Lifetime of Live Performance DVD, scheduled for release on October 15th, will have a full-color retrospective/transcription coffee table companion book. Peart wrote the foreword as well as supervising the entire project.
