2026 is shaping up to be a great year of live classic rock in our area, and now you can add another 'must-see' show to the list.

Styx is bringing their 2026 Tour to Arnold's Park on Iowa's West Lake Okoboji as part of Live at the Lake Premium Summer Concert Series.

The show is Thursday, June 18th.

Windy City Roots

Styx got its start in Chicago in 1972, with the original lineup of keyboardist and lead singer Dennis DeYoung, guitarists James 'JY' Young and John 'JC' Curulewski, and brothers Chuck (bass) and John Panozzo (drums). first hitting it big with the single 'Lady' (#6) in 1973.

After Tommy Shaw replaced Curulewski in 1975, the band began a steady rise into superstardom, which included a string of five straight Top Ten albums from 1977 to 1983, including their only #1 album in the U.S., Paradise Theatre (1981).

John Panozzo passed away in 1996, and the band parted ways with DeYoung in 1999. with Lawrence Gowan assuming keyboard and singing duties for the past 26 years.

Overall, Styx has had eight songs hit the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as 16 top 40 singles, selling more than 20 million records worldwide.
