For years visitors have come to Italy looking for their own slice of the good life. The country is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world.

Well now a small town in Italy is looking for people to move there and the mayor will even pay you to do it.

According to Fox News, Mayor Daniele Galliano says he's worried the town of Bormida will run out of people as residents who move away to find work. So he has come up with a plan: people who move to Bormida and rent or buy property will get $2,176.70.

The idea has sparked some excitement over social media, with over 2,000 comments from users who say they'd consider a move to Bormida. Town councilors say they're still working out the details.

The village reportedly now includes four restaurants, a church and a doctor who comes to town three times a week.
