Sioux Falls Man Allegedly Brandishes Weapon During Domestic Argument
SIOUX FALLS - Early Sunday morning, March 24th, Sioux Falls police responded to an aggravated assault call at 2404 North Harmon Drive.
According to police sergeant Josh Disberg officers were dispatched to the residence in regards to an assault which had occurred. The 22-year-old female victim said that there was an argument over whether someone who had been drinking should drive. Disberg says that 21-year-old Cassidy Bernice Sharp of Trent allegedly brandished a small pistol before getting into a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Christopher Eugene Furness of Colton.
Minnehaha County Sheriffs deputies spotted the vehicle near the Renner exit and initiated a traffic stop. Sharp was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
Furness was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol and DWI.
