Sioux Falls Homicides Higher In 2014 – Plus Something Was Different
Sioux Falls recorded a higher-than-usual number of homicides in 2014. All six victims were women.
Police say that might be a first in the city because more men are usually killed.
Police say two of the six homicides last year were drug-related, one was considered random and three were the result of domestic violence, including the killing last weekend of 36-year-old Angel Schroeder, a nurse at Sanford Hospital.
Her boyfriend, 39-year-old Timothy Moses, has pleaded not guilty to murder and manslaughter charges.
