Sammy Hagar was on stage this weekend for the final two shows of his annual Birthday Bash week at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This year is a milestone number, as he turns 65.

Hagar no doubt has had a charmed life. From Montrose to Van Halen to Chickenfoot and a successful solo career in between, Hagar has also struck gold in business too. He's had success with his Cabo Wabo line of tequila, his restaurants, a travel agency, a bike shop and now his line of Beach Bar Rum. Sammy tells us, "I have to stay active 'cause I love it. If I stop my creativity dries up."

Joining Hagar on Friday night was country singer Kenny Chesney. Also down in Cabo to help drink up the decades and blow out the candles are Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Matt Sorum and others.

Sammy Hagar on why he works at the pace he does: "I have to stay active 'cause I love it. If I stop my creativity dries up. If I keep going and keep active, man I get ideas and ding, ding, ding, one thing leads to another -- it's like a genetic chain, you know, creativity. So I keep it all connected."
