Robby Krieger is carrying on The Doors legacy in different forms since the death of Ray Manzarek earlier this year. The guitarist has been working occasional dates with his own band -- including a well-received show this summer at the Cutting Room in New York.

It's Robby Krieger Jam Kitchen. It's just a bunch of guys that I love playing with who are really amazing musicians. A couple of guys from Frank Zappa's old band, Chad Mars and Arthur Barrow. We have different horn players that sit in with us. We do our own kind of style of jazz-rock with some vocals and we also do some of the Doors stuff."

Krieger will also be doing a pair of special Doors-themed shows with longtime Allman Brothers guitarist Warren Haynes. Already set for L.A. and San Francisco, they may do an additional date on the East Coast.
