A labeling mistake has triggered a recall of nearly 6,000 pounds of meat distributed in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), West Fargo-based Power Plate Meals, LLC, has recalled 5,795 pounds of frozen meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains soy, but it’s not declared on the product label.

The 13.3-ounce vacuum sealed plastic tray packages containing frozen meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes were produced between June 25, 2025, and June 10, 2026. They have “use by” dates between June 25, 2026, and June 10, 2027. The recalled products have establishment number “217SEND” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The problem was discovered when a state inspector notified FSIS that the final label did not contain soy in the ingredients list. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact their healthcare provider.
