Popular John Deere Lawn Tractor Gets a Rare Recall
The John Deere company based in Moline, Ill. made a rare rare recall on one of it's popular riding lawn tractors. In the press release by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the transmission can fail, posing a crash hazard.
Model D105 with serial numbers beginning with 1GXD105, and service transmissions sold by John Deere authorized dealers for use in the D105 lawn tractor. John Deere and the model number are printed on the side of the engine hood. The serial number is located on the rear frame of the machine above the left rear tire.

If you are affected by this recall, you should stop use immediately and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair.
The tractors were sold at Home Depot and Lowes stores nationwide.
